I thought I knew what was going on. I had theories all over the place.

So, my eyeballs are about to fall out, but I finished year two (involving a chamber and some secrets) ( spoilers for year two (duh) )
Who's doing it this time around? I'd love to, but with the whole new job thing, I'm not sure I should. I may change my mind, like the impatient, immature person I am, but for now, I'll have to stick with patting others on the back. You go! All you writers! Woo-hoo!
Meanwhile, I just finished the first Harry Potter book last night, ( Harry Potter reaction post... )

( shopping details )
Then we went to get Dad a birthday present: Happy Birthday, Daddy! (Seriously, this is what he wanted. I appreciate relatives with cheap taste.) And now I've got to figure out how to make a cake with the very few ingredients we have around... I may just have to give up and go shopping again, ugh. I hope Dad and Mom have a great time in Disney on their birthday/anniversary trip. I love my parents, even though I complain. It comes with being twenty-two I suppose. 27 years of marriage. More power to ya.
( Bro thoughts )
I also got the first HP book in paperback, which irks me. But, it was cheaper that way. So, I shall commence reading after the cake is in the oven. I originally thought I'd listen to the audio version, but I saw the download price and I nearly swallowed my tongue. Not to mention it was frickin' 8 hours long. No. Just, no. So, me reading a bendy paperback book how many years late?

1) Bidding for me has gone up to $70... WTFrick? I thought I'd be lucky to catch $15... So as it stands I currently owe 4 fics. One of which must be 2500 words! Eep. Doesn't sound like a ton, I know, but I'm set in my ways. Can't wait to see what they want, though. *bounces*
2) My cat threw my copy of Only Human down between my headboard and bed in a place that is unreachable. I was half-way through! *growls* I need the 9 books, darnit! I need to get into his head! Stupid heavy bed frame. Stupid annoying cat.
3) Also, the next few weeks are the final push towards graduation for me, so this coming week may be the last week for a while where I'm on hereconstantly normally. Don't freak and think I've abandoned the fic projects, I'll be around. (And now that I've said that, nothing will have changed, lol.)

Done! Don' t know why I was so stressed about it. Our prof is notoriously nice, and kept making jokes. I don't think I've ever been that comfortable in an exam before. Granted, I've no idea how I did on the test, but Dr. R knows how to combat test anxiety.
( Books I've read, and books I want to read... )
Oh, and on an unrelated note: Any one watch 30 Rock? I'm trying to find out if an actor that my brother knows has been on it yet. He was also on Gossip Girl, he played the royalty guy that the stuck up girl was dating. (Yeah, totally do not watch that show, only saw the one episode to see him) Anyway, he plays an intern on 30 Rock and they've brought him on for more episodes. He could become a regular *crosses fingers* He played Lancelot in the tour of Spamalot. I want to see him on the show, but I'm usually working when it's on.

I've not delved into the novelizations of USA Network shows before, but when I heard about this one, and saw it for $2.95, I thought, what the heck.
For those of you who haven't been introduced to the world of Psych, the show follows the mis/adventures of Shawn Spencer, a hyper-observant loafer who peddles his services to the Santa Barbara Police claiming to be a psychic. His straight laced best friend, Burton Guster (Gus) goes into the business with him to form "Psych" the psychic detective agency. As a fan of the show, I was curious to see if the same balance of snappy dialogue, pop-culture references, and mystery could be achieved in novel form. Even more important to me, was the prospect of Shawn's "visions" in all their glory. Written by William Rabkin, whose television credits include writing for Psych, Monk, and showrunner for Diagnosis Murder and Martial Law, this novel delivers all of the above.
( Some quotes, a bit of criticism... )
