Little Bro Writes Fanfic

  • Aug. 3rd, 2009 at 2:43 PM
yeah
I mentioned wanting to go see "Julie and Julia" this Friday, and bro protested on the grounds that "G.I. Joe" comes out that same night.

Me: The only reason I want to see that is because of--
Bro: Christopher Eccleston?
Me: I want to be able to yell out "Doctor! Why are you doing these horrible things?!"
Bro: It should end with everything exploding and Christropher Eccleston walking calmly out and into the TARDIS. That's the twist ending. The Doctor is actually the head of Cobra. It turns out, Cobra is actually out to save the world.

Today I went dorm shopping with bro

shopping details )

Then we went to get Dad a birthday present: Happy Birthday, Daddy! (Seriously, this is what he wanted. I appreciate relatives with cheap taste.) And now I've got to figure out how to make a cake with the very few ingredients we have around... I may just have to give up and go shopping again, ugh. I hope Dad and Mom have a great time in Disney on their birthday/anniversary trip. I love my parents, even though I complain.  It comes with being twenty-two I suppose. 27 years of marriage. More power to ya.

Bro thoughts )
I also got the first HP book in paperback, which irks me. But, it was cheaper that way. So, I shall commence reading after the cake is in the oven. I originally thought I'd listen to the audio version, but I saw the download price and I nearly swallowed my tongue. Not to mention it was frickin' 8 hours long. No. Just, no. So, me reading a bendy paperback book how many years late?

They destroy all that is good in life. If I laugh I'm in pain. If I try to read/write I'm in pain (The things I do for you people). If I try to watch TV I'm in pain. Ugh.

More 11 talk, costume spoilers )

Bro on Who (old school and new) )

Adventures in Car Crap

  • Jul. 16th, 2009 at 10:31 PM
anger song
So, today, I went to start my car  so that I could get to work on time (I was already running a tad behind), and it didn't start. I tried again. No Luck. I ran back inside (running a little more behind) and told bro to take me to work. He then decided it was necessary to change his entire outfit before driving me to my job. (Okay, okay, so he was putting on his belt, socks/shoes, watch, getting his wallet, etc. You get the idea) We finally get to my job (miraculously on time), and I realize that I have no money and no lunch... I end up eating a candy bar for dinner. My boss has under staffed us for close, and joy of joys, we have customers hanging around thirty minutes after our official close time. My mom (who very nicely drove out to pick me up from work) is stuck outside in my dad's SUV with his work crap that he needs, while we close the store late. Long story short, my entire family made it to the store today at some point or other.

How much longer do I have to work retail?

Things to do once I get an actual honest to God (if modest, I'm not naive) paycheck:

1) Get new Laptop before Seymour here explodes
2) Get new car before Minnie explodes
3) Move out of my parents house before I explode

Obviously, these will not happen all at once or even in close proximity, but if I am able to accomplish even one of these by the end of this year? *dances*

The less explosions the better.

Bro vs. DW

So, little bro has made his stance on Doctor Who clear: he likes it, but we both enjoy having a good laugh about it.

He is also a firm believer that Donna Noble is the best companion ever (and I don't disagree. Love me some Donna) and has been trying to interpret Series Two eps as they would have occurred had Donna been the companion. So far, we have The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit:

*Evil possessed Ood on their way*

Bro (As Donna acting it out): Oi! *pantomimes grabbing a gun and shooting* Donna would have shot everyone, you know she would have.

Me: You know, I think you're right.

... that I can't access them, because he changed his password. *expletive deleted* So, no Shawn and Gus... tonight :(

On the bright side, they finally released the date that Psych will be back: August 7. Very far away...

Also, for those of you who haven't heard:

FUTURAMA IS COMING BACK! BENDER IS GREAT! ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!

*crosses fingers and hopes that the original writers return*

I'm done with my test.

It was not difficult. It was not easy. It was a good test.

Now lets see how I did...

I'll put up the next chapter of Shawn and Gus... tonight (probably late) Sorry, but little bro's graduation ceremony is today, and bro being bro he has a show right afterward. Music?

I love that Hope is dancing with them, lol.

Go See UP...

..And bring tissues. Little bro cried twice. I did once.

Went to little bro's drama banquet. Little Bro won best Thespian, best original play (2nd year in a row), and best supporting actor. He is, frankly, awesome.

Hee.

Also, people asked me today where our $1flip-flops were *headdesk* ONE DAY ONLY, people.

Star Trek fans are the best :)

Instead of Hugh Jackman, little bro and I went to Star Trek (again, for me). Little bro is the best person to see any movie with. He totally gets into it.

Anyway, at the end of the movie as the credits popped up, an older man sitting at the end of the row leaned over to little bro and asked him if he enjoyed the movie, then shook his hand and told him he'd been watching the show for the last 25 years.

Little bro got an official welcome to the fandom :D

I love Sci Fi.

Little Bro rocked the stage last night, both on the group number, "Madam Guillotine" from The Scarlet Pimpernel, and in his solo piece, "Haben Sie Gehort Das Deutsche Band?" from The Producers.

Those kids are all so talented! Gosh, I can't even begin to tell you guys.

Little Bro's performance was one of the last of the night, he was so tired, but he still managed to scream at the audience about the Polish, lol. Apparently, when he performed it that morning, he got a standing ovation (when they're not supposed to do anything like that), and the judges were banging the table they were laughing so hard (a definite no-no). He got no negative feedback, straight superiors, and he was so worked up about his performance after the fact, that he ran immediately out to the restroom and puked.

We got in this morning at 4:40 AM. Little Bro is sick as a dog, now, with some flu type thing. My dad is sick, I think I'm getting sick, and we're all zombies this morning.  But, my father told me that going to church was a requirement this morning because I'm being honored tonight for my graduation. *sarcasm* Hurray! *sarcasm*

I'll just keep myself awake by continually songing Haben Sie Gehort... and remembering my brother jumping up and down, screaming in German. Oh, that kid. ROFL!

Haben Sie Gehört Das Deutsche Band?

Little Bro just called me in tears. He's been away at the State Thespian Festival this week, and he was scheduled to perform his song (see title line) this morning. We were debating whether or not to attend the closing ceremonies tonight, knowing that his group performance got a high honor, but the ride was gonna be a killer, there and back in one night. He called me, he was crying, and I could barely understand a word he said, so I thought he'd blown his solo piece this morning. He begged us to come--all of us--and I asked him what was wrong, what happened, and he said:

"I think I just got critic's choice."

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

Highest honor is to be chosen by the critics to perform in the closing ceremony. So,

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!

See you guys later! I have to continue squeeing and bouncing, and getting ready to leave!

In the end, I opted for very polite.

I am once again reminded of why I do not want to teach, yet.
