I hate migraines

11vampire
They destroy all that is good in life. If I laugh I'm in pain. If I try to read/write I'm in pain (The things I do for you people). If I try to watch TV I'm in pain. Ugh.

More 11 talk, costume spoilers )

I'm writing Girl in the Fireplace inspired fic...

In other news:

I got the Series 2 DVDs in the mail today :D

It amuses me that my family members are all fascinated even though Mom keeps saying "I can't
understand them!" Which of course makes me think of this:

For those of you interested

I'm debating whether or not to combine these recent one-shots into one fic. I hesitate to do that, mainly because the ole #/? intimidates me. It's like almost like a death sentence for story lines, lol. In the long run, though, it would probably make more sense...

Me rambling about writing... )

After a day of refolding the same display over, and over, and over again, I have a great idea!

You unfold it, you bought it.

Brilliant, eh?

I'd forgotten that this happens to me

When I was in high school, I would leave English class with whatever style of lit/speech pattern stuck in my head for the rest of the day. (It was at the end of the day for me, so I would ride home on the bus with Shakespearean sonnets running through my brain)

Why is this relevant?

I am watching Tin Man, which [info]catyuy threatened me encouraged me to watch. She is abusive I tell you. Beat me over the head when I didn't know what Return to Oz was. I still don't... but I'm afraid to go back without knowing... She's tiny big and scary I tell you! I only beat her in height by about 6".... and in weight by about 100lbs...

I am now thinking in cryptic, scary poems. (I would share but they are tragically bad. )

I so love these types of things, lol.  Imagination is your friend, people.

Just got through part 1. Costuming in this is very fun. As are the Wizard of Oz references. Makes me want to rewatch the original just to squee and annoy others in my house who would want the TV.

I was totally educated by Animaniacs

I hate math. Just so you know.

HUGE IMPORTANT TEST TOMORROW! EVIL MATH INVOLVED! 100 MINUTES OF MATH THAT I AM NOT SUFFICIENTLY PREPARED FOR.

Writing fluff for [info]amberfocus  is totally math related...

I should throw in some equations for fun (Well, not fun, but because I do need to know some things. I forgot the quadratic equation! My college prep school chums would turn their calculator loving noses up at me!) Who am I kidding? This will have nothing to do with math. *holds tongue from using a bad chemistry joke*

Dear Jessa,
Be afraid. Be very afraid!
Catyuy and I have joined forces.
We are together now and are plotting to track you down in order to get more Relics/NQS/DCepilouge/her darn prompt from you.
I'm still trying to figure out this stupid Its a Wonderful life bunny.
I already have one Time Lord in my head, I do not need another!
Catyuy on the other hand just wishes to worship at the alter of your chaotic mind..........in person. (As would I, actually :P )

Lots of insanity and love,
Melnay13 and Catyuy

PS. Yes. We did. AND IT ROCKED! The hair flippage alone *melts*

This morning, at 3:00AM I decided that [info]melnay13  was sleeping too much and decided to wake her by sneezing loudly and repeatedly. Then, I bit her and attacked her blankets so that she would let me out of her room so I could get a snack. Now she can't get back to sleep, and it amuses me to taunt her by sleeping in front of her.

Love,

Gatita (Socks)

Just wanted to let you all know that I am (once again) angry with Comic Con.

David and RTD, people.

One day, I will stop talking about getting teh impossible tickets, and just do it.

Yes, I am crazy

So, anyone remember ALF?

Things I know about the show:

ALF stands for alien life form
He comes from the planet Melmac
At the start of the show he's the last known surviving life form from that planet
He enjoys eating cats
His name is Gordon... something or other
He lives with the Tanner family (in their attic)
I think he liked wearing Hawaiian shirts... or was that just one plot of an ep?

Anyone wanna fill me in with mindless trivia from it. No reason *shifty eyes* Character names, their relationships to the puppet in question, etc.

Believe it or not I have faint memories of watching this show. I was very little and was very upset that he wanted to eat the neighbor's cat. In fact, I think he did...

I am going nuts, guys

Here I have access to the interwebs,  and I can't read or write any fic! Gah! *tears hair out*

On the plus side, I did finish mapping out the alien plot for Shawn and Gus...  ( Literally. I must do scans of the random pictographs from my journal and share after the full scope of the plot is revealed, lol) but come on! I want my laptop back!

*runs off into the Florida heat rambling and muttering something about a chaotic zeppelin relic*

Also, I've decided that my glimpses series has sat idle for far too long, so I may have to rewatch Smith and Jones just to finish that one up. I miss my Ten/Rose banter (yes I know Martha is the companion in that ep, but my point still stands). Also, I am terrified of writing Martha. She's lovely, don't get me wrong, but I've never written her, and her awesomeness is not as easily captured in voice as some companions *cough* Donna*cough* I haven't published any of my Donna ones, why did I just cite her? Obviously my brain is telling me to revamp those. BUT I CAN"T BECAUSE MY LAPTOP IS DEAD (at least until I get the new power source... hopefully)

It's official

My laptop is dead!

But,
in a move of considerable stupidity, I neglected to look at my AC Adapter to make sure that it was functioning properly... It's not. So, it might be alright (the laptop I mean.) Eh, we'll see. I'm getting a new AC adapter, because I refuse to take this thing back to the gawd-awful repair shop. Those people couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. It's almost as bad as the time I was patronized by the AAA worker. Dude, I'm a chick, not a moron.

Aaaanywho, I may be back with some regularity in a few weeks. For now I live on borrowed time on my parents' PC. I'll be back in the fic world later, peoples :)

I was all over the place at work today, which is a good thing because the day goes by faster, and I felt useful. Then I went to the store to purchase cat food, and a squeaky toy. The cat and dog were excited. I played with the dog. And now I am watching Monster in Law, which unfortunately is devoid of monsters.

FALSE ADVERTISING.

To make up for this injustice, I will watch Monsters, Inc. which has a much better script, is genuinely funny, and has actual monsters. Also, Boo. Who is adorable.

***Real life breaks in***

Why does everyone always talk over me? Everywhere I go. Seriously. It's annoying.

***Real life retreats***

Okay, so Monsters Inc. I look forward to watching this :)

That quote has been in my head all day. Stupid AFI and its lists...

Aaaanyway, I went into work tonight! Yay! Very little dizziness transpired! Yay! I was (and am) exhausted, but I do believe these horse pills they've given me are working. Seriously, these things are huge.

Someone at my job knew what Doctor Who was. All the good ones are married.

Now, I have to go to bed so I can test tomorrow morning. EEP!

I'll be taking my subject area exam tomorrow morning! EEP!

I'm not particularly worried about this, judging by the caliber of teacher that does pass this on a regular basis, but I have no clue what this test looks like, or what will be on it. I'm assuming English-y type things. Gerunds! Prepositions! Direct Objects! (I'm not the best when it comes to actual grammar... Perhaps I should study?)

The gears are in motion people. Little bro said he worried for my class, lol. My mother asked me if I would spend time explaining Doctor Who. I MIGHT IF IT SUITS ME.

GAH!
