October Project Pimpage

  • Oct. 3rd, 2009 at 11:21 PM
hee
My chapter is up tonight. The intro was written by [info]jessalrynn where Martha and the other characters interact. She makes me jealous. It's so much fun to be a part of this collaboration, even though we're all kinda like, "What's going on?" "Jessa! Fix it!" *flails* It's insane, but fun. Really, go check it out! You can tell me how bad my Martha writing is... or you can tell me it's not half bad? *is hopeful* Points to people who know what my characters' names mean.

Annnnd because Jessa's title for my story reminded me of this, a vid:

Little Bro Writes Fanfic

  • Aug. 3rd, 2009 at 2:43 PM
yeah
I mentioned wanting to go see "Julie and Julia" this Friday, and bro protested on the grounds that "G.I. Joe" comes out that same night.

Me: The only reason I want to see that is because of--
Bro: Christopher Eccleston?
Me: I want to be able to yell out "Doctor! Why are you doing these horrible things?!"
Bro: It should end with everything exploding and Christropher Eccleston walking calmly out and into the TARDIS. That's the twist ending. The Doctor is actually the head of Cobra. It turns out, Cobra is actually out to save the world.

Funny thing about writing the Master

  • Jul. 28th, 2009 at 10:54 AM
pout
I decided that I would try to write all the characters I fear writing this summer:

Mickey? Check
Martha? Check (I don't want to talk about it)

The Master? Funny thing:

With this character you sit down and start to write, and all these lines of evil villain dialogue pour forth and you have such a darn good time doing it, that you're not sure if it's crap because it's just that much fun... It may be the worst dialogue I've ever written, or it could be the best... It's entirely impossible to be objective about him. He's too much fun!

I blame Rose. (Everything is her fault, you know)

hang on
So.... anyone planning on smuggling cameras into the DW panel tomorrow? How long might one have to wait until this nonexistent vid hits youtube... Obviously, I am being completely hypothetical here. Nothing like this would ever happen!

Today I went dorm shopping with bro

shopping details )

Then we went to get Dad a birthday present: Happy Birthday, Daddy! (Seriously, this is what he wanted. I appreciate relatives with cheap taste.) And now I've got to figure out how to make a cake with the very few ingredients we have around... I may just have to give up and go shopping again, ugh. I hope Dad and Mom have a great time in Disney on their birthday/anniversary trip. I love my parents, even though I complain.  It comes with being twenty-two I suppose. 27 years of marriage. More power to ya.

Bro thoughts )
I also got the first HP book in paperback, which irks me. But, it was cheaper that way. So, I shall commence reading after the cake is in the oven. I originally thought I'd listen to the audio version, but I saw the download price and I nearly swallowed my tongue. Not to mention it was frickin' 8 hours long. No. Just, no. So, me reading a bendy paperback book how many years late?

1). List your favourite female characters.
2). Explain why you like them or what makes them particularly awesome.
3). Post a picture and your favourite quote. (I would, but it's sorta late.)
4). Tag five people to do the same.

At first I couldn't think of anyone...

I just passed my FINAL test. *dances embarrassingly* And then got home and got my assignment for the Time in Flux ficathon..... *incomprehensible nervous gurgling*

But I'm in a such a good mood that the nervous is overshadowed by the squee.

Also, I feel like going to see a movie, today. Obviously, I will be avoiding HP like the plague, 'cause I already told a certain someone that I wouldn't see it until I'd read the books, and really the theaters will be packed. So, I think I might get my Simon Pegg squee on and be the oldest person on the audience not attached to an eight year old, and see Ice Age 3. I'm told it was much better than the first two, to which I responded "Duh! Simon Pegg."

Or, I might just continue my DW marathon, and bake cookies...

Sounds like the title for the next Sci Fi (Sy Fy) original movie, lol.

It was a terrifying fifteen minutes let me tell you. The dog wouldn't even go in there. Dad to the rescue!

I will never sit on the swing again, nor will I ever go out there barefoot.

But this movie called Teaching Mrs. Tingle is on, and Helen Mirren is creeping the bejeezes out of me. And it's oddly fascinating watching Katie Holmes pre-crazy husband. And there's Barry Watson, who makes me laugh trying to play the bad boy since I know him from Seventh Heaven.

Brief synopsis )

Silly, but fun.

So, yeah. Stupid teenagers + Helen Mirren = a pretty entertaining movie.

I'd forgotten that this happens to me

Think think think
When I was in high school, I would leave English class with whatever style of lit/speech pattern stuck in my head for the rest of the day. (It was at the end of the day for me, so I would ride home on the bus with Shakespearean sonnets running through my brain)

Why is this relevant?

I am watching Tin Man, which [info]catyuy threatened me encouraged me to watch. She is abusive I tell you. Beat me over the head when I didn't know what Return to Oz was. I still don't... but I'm afraid to go back without knowing... She's tiny big and scary I tell you! I only beat her in height by about 6".... and in weight by about 100lbs...

I am now thinking in cryptic, scary poems. (I would share but they are tragically bad. )

I so love these types of things, lol.  Imagination is your friend, people.

Just got through part 1. Costuming in this is very fun. As are the Wizard of Oz references. Makes me want to rewatch the original just to squee and annoy others in my house who would want the TV.

How crazy would I be...
