There were more...It occurs to me that I may need a new hobby.

I decided that I would try to write all the characters I fear writing this summer:

Mickey? Check
Martha? Check (I don't want to talk about it)

With this character you sit down and start to write, and all these lines of evil villain dialogue pour forth and you have such a darn good time doing it, that you're not sure if it's crap because it's just that much fun... It may be the worst dialogue I've ever written, or it could be the best... It's entirely impossible to be objective about him. He's too much fun!

I blame Rose. (Everything is her fault, you know)

I just passed my FINAL test. *dances embarrassingly* And then got home and got my assignment for the Time in Flux ficathon..... *incomprehensible nervous gurgling*

But I'm in a such a good mood that the nervous is overshadowed by the squee.

Also, I feel like going to see a movie, today. Obviously, I will be avoiding HP like the plague, 'cause I already told a certain someone that I wouldn't see it until I'd read the books, and really the theaters will be packed. So, I think I might get my Simon Pegg squee on and be the oldest person on the audience not attached to an eight year old, and see Ice Age 3. I'm told it was much better than the first two, to which I responded "Duh! Simon Pegg."

Or, I might just continue my DW marathon, and bake cookies...

So, I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and take another stab at the commentary meme:

Go to my Masterlist, choose a fic (that doesn't already have a commentary listed next to it), and I'll write the "DVD" commentary for it.

Have you ever set out to write something fun and great, and then watch it turn into something dull?

( In which I rant about my inability to do Martha Jones justice. And threaten to let loose a Mary Sue on the world at large. And rant about overdue chapters of crossovers... )

I'm debating whether or not to combine these recent one-shots into one fic. I hesitate to do that, mainly because the ole #/? intimidates me. It's like almost like a death sentence for story lines, lol. In the long run, though, it would probably make more sense...

HUGE IMPORTANT TEST TOMORROW! EVIL MATH INVOLVED! 100 MINUTES OF MATH THAT I AM NOT SUFFICIENTLY PREPARED FOR.

Writing fluff for amberfocus  is totally math related...

I should throw in some equations for fun (Well, not fun, but because I do need to know some things. I forgot the quadratic equation! My college prep school chums would turn their calculator loving noses up at me!) Who am I kidding? This will have nothing to do with math. *holds tongue from using a bad chemistry joke*

I just wrote a follow up to Found in Translation. This was unexpected. It seems to want another sequel after this one... 'Kay. I have no idea what will happen next, but I might have to write post-Doomsday reunion fic. Weird. The weirder part is that the story sounds like it's post JE, but then I'd be dissing 10.5, and I don't wanna. *hugs him* So, uh... yeah. Weird.

Um, the next part of A Parallel Glimpse is on hold, apparently.

My AU series, A Parallel Glimpse needs some love. The next installment, or rather a prequel, should be up soonish. Like tomorrow, or the next day. It'll be the Smith and Jones ep, which is currently titleless. Also, Martha Jones is really quite awesome.

So, anyone remember ALF?

Things I know about the show:

ALF stands for alien life form
He comes from the planet Melmac
At the start of the show he's the last known surviving life form from that planet
He enjoys eating cats
His name is Gordon... something or other
He lives with the Tanner family (in their attic)
I think he liked wearing Hawaiian shirts... or was that just one plot of an ep?

Anyone wanna fill me in with mindless trivia from it. No reason *shifty eyes* Character names, their relationships to the puppet in question, etc.

Believe it or not I have faint memories of watching this show. I was very little and was very upset that he wanted to eat the neighbor's cat. In fact, I think he did...

Here I have access to the interwebs,  and I can't read or write any fic! Gah! *tears hair out*

On the plus side, I did finish mapping out the alien plot for Shawn and Gus...  ( Literally. I must do scans of the random pictographs from my journal and share after the full scope of the plot is revealed, lol) but come on! I want my laptop back!

*runs off into the Florida heat rambling and muttering something about a chaotic zeppelin relic*

Also, I've decided that my glimpses series has sat idle for far too long, so I may have to rewatch Smith and Jones just to finish that one up. I miss my Ten/Rose banter (yes I know Martha is the companion in that ep, but my point still stands). Also, I am terrified of writing Martha. She's lovely, don't get me wrong, but I've never written her, and her awesomeness is not as easily captured in voice as some companions *cough* Donna*cough* I haven't published any of my Donna ones, why did I just cite her? Obviously my brain is telling me to revamp those. BUT I CAN"T BECAUSE MY LAPTOP IS DEAD (at least until I get the new power source... hopefully)

But, in a move of considerable stupidity, I neglected to look at my AC Adapter to make sure that it was functioning properly... It's not. So, it might be alright (the laptop I mean.) Eh, we'll see. I'm getting a new AC adapter, because I refuse to take this thing back to the gawd-awful repair shop. Those people couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. It's almost as bad as the time I was patronized by the AAA worker. Dude, I'm a chick, not a moron.

Aaaanywho, I may be back with some regularity in a few weeks. For now I live on borrowed time on my parents' PC. I'll be back in the fic world later, peoples :)

1) I need to know what the two quotes from the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are . Something to do with friendship and death, according to wikipedia.
2) I tried to read the summary of it, and was hopelessly lost because I have never read any of the other books, and don't know who half of the people are. Is this what would happen if I started to read the final book without having read any of the others? I'm assuming so.

I have three of them, but they are neither the last nor the first, and I don't want to bother trying until I've at least read the first one.

On the bright side, I've caught up with all the wonderful updates of fic. Zeppelins is back! Yay!

And, I've rediscovered a file on my laptop that contained something that may grow into something else brilliant. I abandoned it a long time ago, but upon rereading... I like it.

That may be lack of sleep talking.

Also, I need to focus on stuff. Namely life in the *shudders* real world. Hiring, and applying and such. I am at the point where I absolutely detest my job. I used to think that I could do this forever, and that repetitive tasks didn't bother me... Stupid BA making me all "elitist." My mother would have a field day, lol.

Anywho, I'll be backing off a bit, or trying to, anyway. I'm trying to set up a new daily routine for myself, as sticking to the impossible student hours on the interwebs will not do much for me. I'm thinking three times a week. I may go into withdrawal before this is accomplished, lol.

Dude. I totally had something I wanted to tell you guys, but then little bro ran in talking about LOST (which I do not watch, yet somehow have been assigned to watch the season finale for him) and now it's gone.

Oh, well.

So, just so y'all know, I'm writing a crossover fic for queenfaithie 's birthday in which I'm mixing the worlds of Psych and Doctor Who. It's an odd combination, but it's fun to do. I forgot how fun it is to write the Psych dialogue, lol. But, what's really funny is the near physical pain I experience when I switch from writing British people to Americans. As a result, Shawn may say "dude" too many times in this...

Also, I had a weird character moment last week. I wrote something into the fic about Gus, and then found out later that it was a canon thing the whole time... Apparently Psych canon is engraved in my brain and I didn't even know it.

Anywho, the Psych flavoring has overtaken the fic as a whole, but the Doctor and Rose are there. Eventually the Doctor will meet Shawn, and something big should happen. I'm thinking bananas and pineapples... possibly a fruit salad of some type. A delicious fruit salad...

Hee.

The working title of this epic meeting of minds is "Shawn and Gus's Excellent Adventure."

I finished my Support Stacie fic. It's done. I can't believe I finished it.

It's absolutely, completely different from what I first thought I was going for... but that's okay. I like it.

It needs to be beta'd... but, aside from that... I'm done!
